Real Madrid's preparations for the Endesa Super Cup continue. The first game of the 11th Costa del Sol Tournament held in Antequera, saw Chus Mateo's team beat Unicaja Malaga 48 hours ago. Next up, they face Zalgiris Kaunas in a demanding test against a Euroleague team. Should our team win, they will win this prestigious pre-season trophy for the sixth time.  

This will be the second friendly as they look to get up to speed for the competition, with a third game against UCAM Murcia on Saturday 17. The first friendly proved to be a successful one for the madridistas, against an side of Unicaja's stature and having only had three weeks of pre-season work, they put in a very good performance, especially on offense, scoring 98 points with 61 of them coming in the first half.
The Andalusian team couldn't keep up against a Madrid side that hinted at a number of their strengths for this season, like the speed of their play, the Sergio Rodríguez-Tavares combination, the support of Cornelie from three-point range and on the rebound, the contribution of the youth players and the swift adaptation of Musa. The forward, has only been training for a few days after playing in the Eurobasket, and he put on his first exhibition in white with 30 points and 32 PIR. 

A strong opponent
Zalgiris Kaunas is a Euroleague classic team. They have been revamped this season with the goal of returning to the playoffs. The arrival of a new coach Maksvytis and the addition of proven players.
