Real Madrid welcome Monaco to the WiZink Center in EuroLeague Round 9. It's a top clash between last year's champions and the third-placed team; this year's leaders and the only unbeaten side in the competition, and the team sitting in fourth. Following victory in Valencia on Tuesday, Chus Mateo's boys will be looking to clinch their eighth win in the competition, their nineteenth on the bounce this season, to close out another flawless double-header.

What was a demanding week for the madridistas started strong with a hard-fought win in La Fonteta, where the team displayed their fierce winning mentality once again 73-76. It was an extremely physical, intense affair and more of the same expected tonight. Monaco boast athletic players and one of the strongest squads in the competition. Madrid come into it with the confidence drawn from 18 successive wins. Tonight could see them match their second-best EuroLeague start, the 8-0 from 2018/19. Their opponents lost at home last time out against Anadolu Efes, ending a five-game winning streak.
Madrid have a record of +12.3 points between offense, the competition's best 86.3 and defense, among the strongest 74. They are up against a squad not lacking in talent either, led by Mike James alongside a powerful perimeter in Okobo, Loyd, Diallo and former NBA star Kemba Walker. Our boys will have to be particularly careful on the offensive rebound and from three. Inside, Hall, Motiejunas and Brown III are a versatile unit.

Campazzo on fire
Tonight will be the fifth time the two teams have met in the EuroLeague, with the head-to-head reading favourably for Madrid at 3-1. In their last game, February of this year, we won 91-95 in Monaco as Hezonja posted record numbers 30 points and a PIR of 34. The forward is enjoying some fine form again, as are Deck and Campazzo. The point-guard has been on fire throughout November, averaging 18.7 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2.2 steals and a PIR of 30 in four victories. The leader's leader.
