In Tel Aviv this evening, Real Madrid face their second EuroLeague outing in the space of 48 hours, as they head to one of the competition’s most iconic courts to take on Maccabi in round 32. With just three games remaining, the Whites have achieved their objective of sealing one of the top four spots in the Regular Season and securing home court advantage, courtesy of Bayern Munich’s defeat to Panathinaikos. However, Pablo Laso’s men will be looking to finish as high up the standings as possible and to do so, they’ll need to keep winning games.

Madrid will be battling it out for first place, with a home clash against Panathinaikos and a trip to Bayern also to come and second place firmly in their sights thanks to basket average over Olympiacos 3rd and Olimpia Milan 4th. Meanwhile, Maccabi are still chasing a playoff spot 12-11 and go into the clash on the back of a convincing win against Milan 75-58 at home, where they have record five victories on the bounce and are yet to be defeated this year.
The madridistas played well for long spells on Tuesday in Istanbul, particularly in offensive, racking up 90 points, 79 of which in the first three quarters. Deck has averaged 22 points and 28 in PIR in the last two games. The recovery of Hanga, who was outstanding against Anadolu Efes, and Llull, who comes into the clash fresher after not playing in that game, also bode well for the side.

They are up against a Maccabi team who are capable of competing in the Final Four. They are a highly competent team, as they showed in the reverse fixture 72-70. The hosts have undergone a change of coach with the arrival of Avi Even, while six players account for almost 90% of the team's points: Wilbekin, Evans and Nunnally, from the perimeter; and Williams, Reynolds and Zizic, in the paint.

Yabusele decided the reverse fixture
Both sides have gone head-to-head on 30 occasions in the EuroLeague, and history favours Real Madrid 19 wins. Last time out at the WiZink Center, Madrid fought back to secure the spoils in the final quarter, courtesy of a winning basket by Yabusele, three seconds before the final buzzer. On the Israeli court, our team last won two seasons ago 77-81 and last campaign they were just two points short 86-84. Tonight, they go in search of their 19th EuroLeague victory.
