Real Madrid beat Maccabi Tel Aviv on matchday 21 of the EuroLeague. The game was played at the Movistar Arena without spectators as it was declared a high-risk game. Despite being without the support of their fans, Scariolo's team recorded their 13th victory in the competition. Hezonja and Tavares, who became the top all-time rebounder in the EuroLeague, were outstanding.

The Whites built their first lead on the scoreboard with nine points from Hezonja. However, a Maccabi team looking very inspired from three-point range managed to reverse the result in the final stretch of the first quarter (21-25). The contest was even at the start of the second period, but the opposition did not slacken their pace and took advantage of TJ Leaf's baskets (30-37, min. 14). Madrid's reaction came in the form of six consecutive three-pointers (one by Deck, another by Campazzo, three in a row by Feliz and one more by Okeke). The Madridistas went into the break ahead (48-47, min. 20).

Madrid came out on fire after the break and an 8-0 run, spearheaded by Hezonja and Campazzo, saw them establish their biggest lead up to that point (61-53, min. 25). The defensive sturdiness accompanied the attacking success of Scariolo's team, who continued to increase their lead to 13 points. The third period ended 76-65.

The Madridistas were in control of the game, but they were aware that they had to keep up their intensity in order to win the game. The attacking dominance remained as the minutes went by and the final baskets from Lyles and Campazzo sealed Real Madrid's 13th win in the competition, their second of the week.
