Doncic, 2018 Final Four MVP
“We worked hard and winning the Euroleague is incredible”, stated the madridista guard.
Luka Doncic was sensational in Real Madrid's win over Fenerbahçe, and along with his semi-final performance against CSKA he was the deserved winner of the Euroleague Final Four MVP. This prize is added to his best player award for the Regular Euroleague season and the award for the best young player in the competition, the Rising Star award: “winning the Euroleague is incredible. This season I was victorious in the two European finals I played and that feels great. We have worked hard to get here," said the Slovenian.
"Everybody focuses on the pressure, it's true that it exists, but when you're on the court you don’t really think about it, I try to play for enjoyment, we fought hard in this final and we fought as a united team, because we've always been that way inclined, both when we lose games and when we win. We have heart and courage, and our fans have always had faith in us and have supported us a lot."
"I’ve got some amazing and fantastic teammates and a great coach in Laso, who gives me the opportunity to play. They trust me and always go with me, win or lose. Pablo told us that we’ve worked very hard to be here and that we deserve the cup".
Learning curve
"This season has been a dream come true. I remember three years ago when I won the Junior Euroleague and I was jealous of the older players and now I have won it. This year I feel more confident and I'd learned a lot. It really helped me and we played as a team".
