The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea and the University of Nebraska Omaha launch a dual Master's degree in Sports Management
The agreement will allow students to gain certificates in the United States and Spain, comprising comprehensive international tuition in the sports industry.
The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea and the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), in the United States, have signed a collaboration agreement to run a dual Master's degree in Sports Management. The aim of the alliance is to provide students with a global overview of the sports industry, with practical training in areas like marketing, communication, leadership and business management.
Certificate and dual degree
Under this agreement, as part of earning the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UNO, students will have the opportunity to take three online courses from the Executive MBA in Sport Management at the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, and receive a Sporting Management Certificate from the same institution.
If the MBA students also complete a further two online courses in the Executive MBA in Sport Management program — for a total of five — they will also obtain the Executive MBA in Sport Management degree from the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea. This gives them the opportunity to graduate with two postgraduate degrees: one in the United States and another in Spain.
Butragueño: “We're incredibly proud of this alliance”
Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations and director general of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, underlined the significance of the collaboration: “We're incredibly proud of this alliance with UNO, which aims to offer top-class international education in order to support our students on their journeys towards successful careers in the sports industry."
Dean of UNO, Joanne Li, highlighted: “This collaboration expands the learning opportunities for our students, and provides a uniquely international view of the sports industry, opening the door to dynamic careers with fantastic potential."
Real Madrid Experience
The students on this program will also take part in the Real Madrid Experience, an annual event held in the Spanish capital. It gives students the chance to meet Real Madrid's professionals first-hand, find out all about the latest trends in the industry, and visit outstanding sports facilities. The program promotes networking and the development of business projects with a global vision.
