The Movistar Arena observed a moment of silence before the game between Real Madrid and Valencia Basket, corresponding to matchday 31 of the EuroLeague, in memory of Vicente Paniagua, one of the great legends of Real Madrid and European basketball, who passed away last Saturday at the age of 78.
Vicente Paniagua wore the Real Madrid jersey for 11 seasons, from 1966 to 1977. During that time, he won 21 titles: 3 European Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 10 Leagues, and 7 Spanish Cups.
