Castilla lost the first leg of the first round of the playoff for promotion to the second division against Barça Atletic, which was played at the Johan Cruyff stadium, and will have to come back from behind on Sunday 11th June at 8:00pm at the Di Stéfano. Raúl's side took the lead with a goal from Nico Paz but the blaugranas came from behind before the break. Dotor levelled the score at the start of a second half in which two subsequent goals from Cruz ended the Reserve Team Clásico on level terms.
The game featured goals from the start and Castilla warned in the first minute with a long-range shot. Heavy pressure from the start on the home side's possession paid off in the 13th minute, when Álvaro Martín's steal led to a 1-0 lead. The midfielder spotted Nico Paz's run and slipped a measured pass between the lines. The striker beat Diounkou with a spectacular cutback and beat Arnau Tenas with a powerful diagonal finish.

Raúl's side looked to be in control of the game against a Barça Atletic side who were unable to break through the Madrid defence. But the tables were turned by the home side's goal six minutes later. A set piece from out of nowhere led to the equaliser when Moha took a free kick from the left and Riad headed home. Just when it looked like it would be all square at half-time, Barça Atletic's second goal came after a steal near the area by Cruz, who set up Roberto to make it 2-1 in the 44th minute.
Castilla look for an equaliser
The storyline would be repeated in the second half. Castilla were gaining the upper hand in the opening minutes and Álvaro Martín had the first chance with a shot from outside the area in the 59th minute. The White's perseverance was rewarded in the 65th minute, as Nico Paz and Álvaro Martín linked up once again. But this time it was the other way around. The striker assisted the midfielder, who beat Alba for pace and was brought down inside the area. Dotor levelled the score at 2-2 from the penalty spot. However, in the closing stages, two individual efforts from Cruz on the right wing led to goals in the 76th and 80th minutes, and the game ended in a 4-2 win for the home side. Castilla will have to look for a comeback with their home fans spurring them on.
