Raúl's side had chances to win at the Di Stéfano and remain in the playoff places.

Real Madrid Castilla drew against Mérida on Primera Federación matchday 28, played at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. The madridistas, who created numerous chances to take the win, were unlucky in front of goal in a clash that ended goalless. Despite not getting the win, Raúl's side remain in the playoff places with 50 points.
Mérida were the first to try their luck with a shot from Meléndez from the edge of the area that De Luis kept out with a fine save (7'). The reserve team had possession and the visitors created their chances on the counter-attack. In the 28th minute, Theo tested the goalkeeper with a long-range right-footed shot that Palomares saved. Five minutes before the break, Noel had the clearest chance of the first half after picking up a rebound from the defence, but the goalkeeper turned his shot wide.
Bad day in front of goal
Peter could have opened the scoring after the break with a shot from the edge of the area that Palomares narrowly blocked. Arribas also tried from the six-yard box but again the goalkeeper was at his best (52'). On the hour mark, Mérida had three good chances in a row to go one nil up. In the last few minutes, Aranda could have scored the winning goal with a fierce shot that went over the bar. Almost immediately after, De Luis saved Dani Lorenzo's effort in a one-on-one with a fantastic block. In the end, the points were shared at the Di Stéfano.
