Real Madrid to face Barcelona in the Super Cup final

Real Madrid will go in search of their first trophy of 2023 on Sunday. After defeating Valencia in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup, the Whites will next face Barcelona, who edged out Betis in the other tie. The final will be played at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh at 8pm (CET).
 
This will be the eighth time Real Madrid and Barcelona have gone head-to-head in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. The madridistas have secured the trophy on six occasions (1988, 1990, 1993, 1997, 2012 and 2017) while Barça have done so once (2012). The last time both sides met in this competition was last year in the semi-finals, when Ancelotti’s men prevailed (2-3).
