MATCH REPORT. 22/12/2022

A win over KFF Vllaznia with goals from Teresa (2), Weir, C. Camacho and Paula Partido in the final day of the Women's Champions League group stage.

Real Madrid bid farewell to 2022 with a victory. Toril's players thrashed KFF Vllaznia in the closing match of the Women's Champions League group stage. The Albanian side took the lead initially but goals from Weir, Teresa (who scored a brace), Carla Camacho and Paula Partido sealed the win for our team at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.

The last game of the year started with a very clear chance for Madrid; a close-range shot from Møller in the six-yard box that was blocked by Williams-Mosier. Just two minutes later, Vllaznia took the lead in the fifth minute thanks to a great free kick by Doci from outside the box. Real Madrid held onto their composure and continued to play their game, controlling possession and creating chances. And so it came to 1-1. Then it would be in the 11th minute when Weir finished off a great personal move with her left foot. The team did not let their intensity drop and within two minutes they were well on the track to victory with two more goals, both from Teresa. In the 18th minute, the midfielder picked up a clearance from the visitors' defence and slotted it past Williams-Mosier with her right foot. Then in the 20th minute she would make it 3-1 from a penalty won by Møller on a cross which was blocked by Gjergji's arm. The fourth could have come before half-time, but Maliqi blocked Oroz's shot inside the box.
