Real Madrid produced a stunning away win on matchday ten of the Primera Iberdrola. The Whites defeated Betis (1-4) to record their third consecutive win in the competition after goals from Esther (2), Møller and Nahikari. David Aznar’s side took the lead early on when Esther headed home Olga’s pin-point cross in the 3rd minute. The Andalusian side responded on 17’ through another headed effort that was well saved by Misa. Møller then doubled the visitors’ lead shortly before half-time (43’).
Three minutes after the re-start, Betis reduced the deficit when Valle nodded in Ángela’s corner kick. In the 61st minute, Eva was sent off after picking up two yellow cards and the hosts were reduced to ten players. Real Madrid sealed the three points with a strike by Nahikari on 76’, but David Aznar’s team were not content to sit back and Esther fired in the fourth goal from distance (79’) to secure a third consecutive win in the Primera Iberdrola.
