The Real Madrid man has been on target in every game of the first round.
Takefusa Kubo is one of the stand-out performers for Japan at the Olympic Games. The Real Madrid player opened the scoring once again in the 4-0 win over France. Kubo's left-footed stirke after latching on to a loose ball around the penalty spot in the 27th minute saw Japan seal their quarter-final meeting with New Zealand (Saturday, 11am).

In Japan's opening match, Kubo was at the heart of his side's victory. The Real Madrid forward scored the only goal of the game with 71 minute gone with a great individual effort to give his team a 1-0 win over South Africa. In the second match, he put Japan ahead against Mexico with just six minutes on the clock after neatly getting on the end of a cross.
