Blanco makes Spain bow

Antonio Blanco made his debut for the Spanish national team in the warm-up game against Lithuania at Butarque. The Whites' midfielder entered the fray in the 54th minute as Spain ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.

Blanco enjoyed a fine season. He was a first-choice starter in Castilla's engine room and made his first-team debut on 18 April in the LaLiga Matchday 33 trip to Getafe. He also featured in the meetings with Cádiz, Betis and Osasuna.
