"We're ready to put in a big performance against a very good Betis team", explained the coach.
Zinedine Zidane spoke in the Real Madrid City press room after the final training session prior to the visit of Betis in LaLiga matchday 32 (Saturday, 9pm CEST). The coach said: "We know that we're playing tomorrow and I think we've recovered well. We're coming up against a very good team, very solid and who play very nice football. We're ready to put in a great performance and want to continue the way we're going. They'll be some tough games and we have to be ready to start well and play at a high level for 90 minutes".

"We’re ready to put on a good performance and we want to help playing in the same way. We’re up against a good team. We know who we’re up against and we’ll have to be at our best to pick up the three points. That’s what we’ll aim to do".

The difficulty of winning the league
"The league is always difficult. I’ve always said LaLiga is very competitive, there are 38 games and it's not easy. It hasn't changed, it's been one of the best leagues in my opinion for a long time. We're going to try to win it anyway".
On his future
"I'm concerned about the daily routine and I don't know what's going to happen in a month's time. Those of us who are involved in this project want to finish the season well and then we'll talk about the future. We’re focused on our day-to-day work and mainly on tomorrow's game".
The squad
“We’ve got a large squad with a lot of quality. But we’ve had a lot of injuries and people with COVID.  It’s been a strange season. But a lot of people are having a very bad time of it, we can’t complain. We have to focus on the football and make the most of it when we can”.

"Kroos is going to be out and Modric is back. One piece of bad news and one piece of good news. Hazard is in the squad, another piece of good news".

Champions League semi-final
“We've got a league game tomorrow and have time to focus on the semi-final, I'm not worried. A lot has been said about this and we're going to play our semi-final because we have the right to. The referee who is on the pitch is going to act for the good of football. It's a ridiculous matter, I'm not going to go into that now. I can tell you that we're going to prepare to play the Champions League semi-final".
Praise for the home-grown players
“The academy players always work really hard, like Lucas Vázquez and Nacho, to name a couple, who have come up through the youth system and now play in the first team. They’ve worked extremely hard and they’re always ready to play”.
Sergio Ramos
“I think he’s in a good state of mind. He had some difficulties and now he’s much better. Now he’s back training on the pitch but not with the group just yet. He will be soon. We always want him to be involved. He’s recovering slowly and he’s a few sessions away”.
Mendy’s recovery
“He won’t be available for tomorrow. We have to go slowly. I hope he’s with us on Tuesday, but he won’t be tomorrow. It won’t be long, it’s a matter of days”.
Florentino Pérez
“We occasionally speak. He comes to see the team sometimes and nothing has changed there. We know where he is and as club president he wants us to focus on tomorrow’s game”.
The financial struggles of Girondins de Bordeaux
“It's a tough time, but hopefully the administrative relegation won't happen. It’s a difficult situation and everything that’s happening is strange. I’ve fond memories as a former player there. Hopefully the situation can be turned around and I give my full support to the club, which is always in my heart. I will always support them”.
