Around five hundred children from Tokyo will take part, alongside Global Football Management and the support of NTT.
The Real Madrid Foundation's football school in Japan, which is operated by Global Football Management, has opened a new venue in Harumi, in the heart of Tokyo. The football ground is situated in a prime location, next to the Olympic Village for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The venue has been heavily supported by NTT Corporation and NTT Urban Development Corporation, one of Japan's leading business groups.
The new site already has 480 players registered who will train from Monday to Sunday from 4pm to 9pm with the six coaches trained under the Real Madrid Foundation's methodology. This joins the four existing ones (Toyota, Yokohama, Chiba and Adachi) with a total of 560 players. This season, the school has reached the milestone of over 1,000 players.
Global Football Management and the Real Madrid Foundation are consolidating their efforts in Japan, and since 2019 they have been providing financial support to the social sports school in Battambang, Cambodia, which is being run in conjunction with the NGO Sauce. Thanks to their support, they help to facilitate access to education and primary care for more than 100 children and young people in vulnerable situations, support their families and promote rural development. Since the start of the partnership, Mr. Masuda, CEO of Global Football Management, has been able to visit the social sports school in Battambang twice.
