ACB League set for a return

The top 12 in the table will fight it out for the title in a final phase held in Valencia.
The ACB has announced that the Endesa League 2019/20 campaign will be decided in Valencia with a final phase that will pit the top 12 teams in the table after match day 23 against each other. There will be a total of 33 games inside two weeks. In a statement, the ACB have confirmed "the return of the league once the government has authorised the resumption of professional competitions and the pandemic allows games to be held with greater health guarantees for the participants".

The 12 clubs will be divided up into two 6-team groups, arranged according to their position in the standings and following the ranking criteria that applies in the playoffs. Every team will contest five matches, one against each of its group opponents. The top two teams in each group will face off in the semi-finals, with the winners progressing to the final, both of which will be one-off match-ups. 

Real Madrid have been placed in Group B, alongside Casademont Zaragoza, MoraBanc Andorra, Valencia Basket, San Pablo Burgos and Herbalife Gran Canaria. Group A is made up of Barça, RETAbet Bilbao Basket, Iberostar Tenerife, Kirolbet Baskonia, Unicaja and Joventut.
