“We put in a very disciplined performance and continue with our good run”, said the coach.
Zinedine Zidane appeared before the press in the media room at the Jan Breydel Stadium to assess his side's final Champions League Group Stage clash with Brugge: “It's a well-deserved win because we were clinical with the chances we had. Brugge had their chances too, particularly early on, but we were far better in the second half”.

“I thought we gave a good account of ourselves and our good run continues, which is the most important thing. Winning is always the best preparation for the next game. We struggled at the beginning of the game with their high press, but after about 15 minutes we reacted and looked better from there on in. In the second half we improved all round. Bale didn't play because I have three substitutions to make and I chose others. That's it”.

Rodrygo & Vinicius Jr.
"They're happy when they get the chance to score, but the most important thing is that both of them put in good performances. I'm delighted they scored and also for Modric too".

A rest for Casemiro?
"We'll see what we do with him on Sunday. Once again tonight he hasn't had a rest and we'll see what happens on Sunday. We've now got to rest up well and our focus switches to the Valencia game from tomorrow".

"He did well out there. He hasn't had much game time and a player needs to play regularly if they're to perform well. He just has to keep working as he is and deliver when he gets the chances. It's not easy because he hasn't played much. He's got to be happy with his performance and he is. The truth is that he needs game time".
