Real Madrid Júnior won the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, the Euroleague of their category, for the second time in history (the first was with Doncic and Yusta in 2015) after beating Mega Bemax Belgrade 76-95. Nakic (who scored 21 of his 33 pointos in the first half, with a PIR of 41 ), Sylla (16, 14 rebounds and a PIR of 40) and Garuba (21 pointos) led Real Madrid to a strong lead in a spectacular second quarter where the score was 30-13.

After a great first quarter with Nakic (10 points) and Langovic (7) being vital for Real Madrid and Mega Bemax Belgrade respectively (20-20, minute 10), the Serbian team struggled in the next 10 minutes to follow the rhythm set by Mariano de Pablos’ side, who were organised in defense and played a lethal counterattack to make it 30-13 in the quarter. Nakic sank 11 more points after his earlier 21 and Garuba netted another 9 to go +17 at halftime, making it 33-50.
Nakic and Sylla, the key men
Belgrade looked sharper at the start of the second half. Brekic and Kljajevic were outstanding on the three and cut to Madrid’s lead to 11 points on 28 '(53-64). The Whites battled yet again thanks to great play from Sylla (with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds) and they went 8-2 to restore the +17 lead at the close of the third quarter (55-72). The Whites kept their lead until the final whistle, rounding off an exceptional tournament (76-95, min 40).
