The Whites are facing a rival who are chasing Champions League qualification for the first time ever.
Real Madrid face Getafe today at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez (9:30pm CET) in the final midweek LaLiga tie. This is one of several games the Whites will play without leaving the Spanish capital, having won at home against Athletic Club (3-0) on Sunday, playing today's game, and then facing Rayo in Vallecas, before finally hosting Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The fight for the Champions League
This game which closes out match day 34 will be a duel for the Champions LeagueReal Madrid are going into the tie in third position, 10 points ahead of Getafe who are in fourth position and two points ahead of Valencia and Sevilla. They will be fired up for this clash, as it could help them in their quest for Champions League football for the first time ever.

BENZEMA HAS SCORED REAL MADRID'S LAST 8 GOALS IN LALIGA.

“Getafe are having their best season ever and I want my team to play with real intensity”, claimed Zidane in his press conference prior to the game. Another key will be Benzema, who is in a rich vein of form, having scored the team's last eight goals in LaLiga, a club record. No other madridista has scored as many consecutive goals in the competition.

The rivals
Getafe are having a great campaign in LaLiga and part of that is down to the solidity they show at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. In fact, they have won 8 of the last 10 home games in the competition. They have three forwards who are all showing real attacking guile. Mata (14), Jorge Molina (13) and Ángel (7) have scored 34 of the team's 43 goals in LaLiga.
