Bale is Real Madrid's top goal scorer at the Club World Cup

NEWS | 20/12/2018

The Welshman has scored six goals between 2014, 2017 and 2018.
Real Madrid have started the Club World Cup 2018 in the best way thanks to Gareth Bale. A hat-trick from the Welsh wizard helped the Whites beat Kashima Antlers in a competition which has seen him score 6 times, in the 2014, 2017 and 2018 editions. Bale is now level with Cristiano Ronaldo as top goal scorer for the club in the Club World Cup.

The first time Bale played in the competition was 2014 when he scored in the semi-finals and final, against Cruz Azul and San Lorenzo, respectively. Last time out he scored against Al Jazira in the semi-finals and in 2018 he scored three against Kashima Antlers. He is now the third player to manage this feat of a hat-trick at the Club World Cup, after Luis Suárez and Cristiano Ronaldo managed it. He also joins the Portuguese star and Messi on the list of players who scored in three different editions.
