Real Madrid were crowned European championes at Kiev's Olimpiyskiy Stadium following their victory over Liverpool, a game that saw Keylor Navas rack up his 100th win in a Madrid shirt. Since joining the club in the summer of 2014, the Costa Rican international has clocked up 141 competitive appearances, with a win rate of almost 71%. The shotstopper reflected on this latest title at the final whistle: "We're really happy to have won the club's Decimotercera title. This one is for the fans because they've always backed us all the way".
"We gave our all and have once again secured the title. We never lost faith, we always work hard. We’re champions again and are extremely proud and grateful. There are always difficult moments, but we never lose faith and we draw on our strengths. We’re here again and have been champions three times in a row. You have to enjoy the moment and then carry on. We never give up on winning any title".
The goalkeeper made his Whites' debut on 23 September 2014 in a convincing 5-1 win over Elche at the Santiago Bernabéu. Since then, his 100 victories have come in the following six competitions: LaLiga (67), the Champions League (25), the Club World Cup (four), the Copa del Rey (one), the Spanish Super Cup (two) and the UEFA Super Cup (one).
