Their goals against Dortmund also make the list of the 10 best goals this season.
The 2017/18 Champions League saw two spectacular overhead kick goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. UEFA technical observers have recognised their beauty and value with both topping the list of the 10 best goals of this campaign. In first place is the Portuguese striker, who turned home a spectacular shot in the visit to Juventus in the quarter-final. UEFA defines this goal as an excellent example of technique and skill.
Next up is Bale’s overhead kick in the Kiev final. The Welshman’s finish was key to winning la Decimoterera when scoring Real Madrid’s second goal.
Bale is on the list of the best goals again thanks to the volley he scored in the Group Stage at Borussia Dortmund. The goal was chosen as the best in matchweek two.
