The forward has bagged four in a game on six occasions and recorded two five-goal hauls.
Cristiano Ronaldo put on another masterclass against Girona, scoring four of the six Real Madrid goals at the Bernabéu. It’s the eighth time he’s bagged four or more goals in a game during his time with the Whites, notching four in a game on six occasions and five in two separate matches. His first came in the 2010/11 season, scoring four in a home win against Racing Santander. That same season he did the same against Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán.

In the 2014/15 campaign Ronaldo got a four-goal haul against Elche at home and then his first five goals in a game came against Granada at the Bernabéu. In the early stages of the following LaLiga season he again bagged five in a match, this time away at Espanyol. A few months later he recorded his most goals in a Champions League match against Malmö (four).

Record-breaking goalscorer
Finally, his previous four-goal display prior to tonight's exploits against Girona came in the 2015/16 LaLiga campaign, in the 7-1 rout over Celta. All of these goal-filled performances see Cristiano Ronaldo, who is Real Madrid's all-time leading scorer with 444 goals in 429 outings, keep up what's an unrivaled scoring return in the club's history.
