NEWS | 12/10/2017The Slovenian scored 27 points in the Euroleague clash with Anadolu Efes.
Doncic led the way for Real Madrid in their opening match in Istanbul. The 18-year-old academy graduate gave another exhibition: 27 points with 6/8 on two-pointers, 3/6 on triples and 6/7 on free-throws, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and PIR of 32 in 26:36 minutes on court. This performance meant he beat his previous record, of 23 points on two occasions last year, in the league against Fuenlabrada and the Copa del Rey semi-finals against Baskonia. In the Euroleague, he had managed 17 points on three occasions (Anadolu Efes, Zalgiris and Milan).
His PIR of 32 represents his equal best Euroleague effort, alongside his performance against Maccabi last season, when he came close to a triple-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Doncic has a fantastic record against Anadolu Efes. His third best PIR in this competition came against the Turkish side at the Wizink Center last year, at 31. However, his best with Real Madrid was in the Endesa League, where he managed a 34 against Fuenlabrada (23 points and 11 rebounds).
