The striker scored four goals against Osasuna at El Sadar and won the Pichichi award in LaLiga with 25 goals.
The star of this week's edition of Historic goals is Ruud van Nistelrooy. He came to Real Madrid in the 2006/2007 season from Manchester United. His nickname Van Gol needs very little explanation: his love affair with the goal was one of the hallmarks of his career. He had an innate capacity goal scoring capacity thanks to his ability to pounce in the opposition box.

10 years ago, on the 12th November 2006, the striker capped off some spectacular play against Osasuna with four goals in a Real Madrid win (1-4) at El Sadar. For the goal were focussing on, Van Nistelrooy finished off a play which saw him receive a pass from Emerson, controlling the ball until he arrived at the edge of the box and blasted a shot in at the far post. With 25 goals in 37 games he won the Pichichi award for top goal scorer in his first season in white. His goals were key to Real Madrid lifting the LaLiga trophy at the end of a hectic season.

Van Nistelrooy stayed at Real Madrid for 4 seasons, racking up a total of 64 goals in 97 matches. As well as winning the Pichichi in the 2006/2007 season, he won 2 LaLiga titles and 1 Spansi Super Cup is his time with the club.
