Real Madrid open Snapchat account

NEWS | 18/11/2015

The Whites are the first Spanish club to join forces with the app, which will cover this Saturday's Clásico.
Real Madrid and Snapchat, the mobile storytelling application, have teamed up to bring fans closer to all the action surrounding the Clásico this Saturday. The encounter will be covered by the app via a Live Story, in collaboration with Real Madrid, who are the first Spanish club to launch a Snapchat event of this kind.

Supporters from all over the world will be able to experience the atmosphere of the clash from their accounts. The agreement enables Snapchatters (users of the application) to create content with filters and official logos of the club. Ahead of the Clásico, Real Madrid are also opening their own official account on the app.

Live Stories are a selected collection of Snaps uploaded to the platform by Snapchatters, capturing what users are filming surrounding an event, which in this case will be the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona. On the day of the game, Snapchatters in and around the stadium will be able to upload their personalised Snaps, with a team choosing the best and turning them into a video that will be shared on the smartphones of the 100 million active users of the app, and will be available for viewing for a period of 24 hours.

Interaction with fans
From now on, Real Madrid will offer an official Snapchat account that will allow Madridistas across the globe to follow the team's day-to-day news and activities. Users searching for the Whites on the app will find Real Madrid's account under the club's name. Snapchatters will have the opportunity to experience the Real Madrid universe like never before, with the chance to enjoy everything from training sessions at pitch level to every last corner of the arena on matchday.
