The Whites legend made 600 appearances during 18 seasons at the club.
On 13 September 1953, Francisco Gento made his debut for Real Madrid in a 2-0 league win over Osasuna. His Whites bow signalled the beginning of a legendary career at the Santiago Bernabéu, one that lasted for 18 seasons. His total of 600 competitive matches for Madrid, in which he scored 182 goals, leaves him as the club's fifth-highest all-time appearance maker.

Gento amassed an incredible list of honours as a Real Madrid player, among which pride of place goes to his 6 European Cup winners' medals - a tally yet to be equalled by any other footballer. He also lifted 1 Intercontinental Cup, 2 Latin Cups, 12 La Liga titles, 2 Spanish Cups and 1 Pequeña Copa del Mundo.
