Carlos Henrique Casemiro has been a key figure during one of Real Madrid’s most successful periods in the club’s history. The Brazilian won five European Cups, starting in the last four of these, and formed part of sensational three-man central midfield along with Kroos and Modrić. Casemiro joined our club from Sao Paulo in January 2013 at the age of 20 to bolster the Castilla squad and he made his debut for Real Madrid on 20 April in a 3-1 win over Betis.

In the 2013-14 season, as a regular member of the first-team squad, he helped the side clinch the Décima and the Copa del Rey. During the following campaign he had a loan spell at Porto and in the summer of 2015, he returned to Madrid to begin his ascent as an all-time club legend. Casemiro made 336 appearances for the Whites, scoring 31 goals, a remarking figure for a central midfielder, winning 18 trophies: 5 European Cups, 3 Club World Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 3 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups. With the Brazilian national team he has won 1 Copa América.

Casemiro was named Man of the Match for the final of the 2022 UEFA Super Cup and the Brazilian will always be fondly remembered by all madridistas for his commitment and desire to fight until the end, a true professional who gave his all for our club.
