Morata joined our club to play for the under-17s in the summer of 2008. His superb performances in the youth categories earned him a debut in the first team at the tender age of 18. As he gradually made more appearances for Mourinho’s side, he was also instrumental in Castilla’s promotion to the Segunda División, performing well on a consistent basis for the second-string side.

In the 2013/14 campaign, he forced his way into the first team and was frequently used by Ancelotti whose side clinched the Copa del Rey and Champions League double. In the final for the
Décima against Atlético, Morata played the closing stages of the match.

The striker spent the next two seasons at Juventus and started another Champions League final, getting his name on the scoresheet. In the 2016/17 campaign, he returned to the Whites to play a key part in the club’s legendary season which yielded four trophies: European Cup, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and LaLiga. He finished as the team’s second top goal scorer that season and also featured in the final for the Duodécima.
