Real Madrid are in Castellón, where they are gearing up to face Atlético in the Spanish Super Cup semifinals at the Castalia Stadium (Tuesday, 7:15 pm CET). Pau Quesada's side will be looking to reach the tournament final for the second consecutive year, with the winner tonight competing in the showpiece on January 24, against the victor of the match between Barcelona and Athletic Club.

The madridistas come into this clash riding a strong run in the league: they sit second in the standings with 38 points, having defeated Levante 1-2 in their last outing thanks to an Athenea brace. They have recorded four wins in their last five league matches and are already through to the Copa de la Reina quarterfinals.

Atlético
Tonight's opponent come into the semifinals in fifth place in Liga F, with a record of seven wins, six draws, and four losses. Atlético has previously lifted the Spanish Super Cup, winning the 2021 edition, where they beat Levante 0-3 in the final.
