Arbeloa: "The team played a serious match"

Álvaro Arbeloa spoke to the media in the press room of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán after the victory against Sevilla, on matchday 37 of LaLiga. Our coach said: "The Sevilla bench was comfortable. I think the team, in a tough stadium like this and against a great team, played a serious game. The boys were quite clear about what needed to be done, and I think we had the match under control at all times. So, happy with the three points."

The last match
"Let’s see. I don’t know if they’re going to change the date or not. I don’t know how things stand with Athletic and if there could be multiple ties, but if you’re telling me they’re going to change it, we’ll wait to see what day they schedule the match to organize the week. Depending on the day, we’ll organize training sessions and see which players we have available because some have come out with some discomfort. It’s the last match, a day of goodbyes for sure for some players. We’ll have to try to play a great match with our people, enjoy every minute with this jersey, and from my side as well."

 

Mbappé and Vini Jr.

Players with discomfort
"Vini Jr. came off with some discomfort. Aurélien (Tchouameni) wasn’t 100% today either. Dean (Huijsen) had a knock. We’ll see how the week goes and if we can recover them for the weekend. If not, you also know that the academy can lend a hand, as was the case today with Leiva, who made his debut here in Sevilla.
