Federico Valverde is celebrating his 27th birthday today. The midfielder was born on 22 July 1998 in Montevideo (Uruguay), and he's now heading into his eighth season at Real Madrid. He made his debut for the club back in October 2018, in the Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen, and has gone on to make 323 appearances in our colours. He already has 14 titles to his name as a madridista: 2 Champions Leagues, 3 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 3 LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups.

Valverde joined our club from Peñarol in the 2016-17 campaign, and started out playing for Castilla. He played the following season in the Primera División while on loan at Deportivo de La Coruña, before returning to form part of the Real Madrid first-team squad. The Uruguayan has been a key part of one of the club's most successful eraslifting La Decimoquinta, the 36th LaLiga title and the Spanish Super Cup in the 23/24 campaign. He is also a full international for Uruguay.
