Mbappé looked back on RM Play at the 31 goals that earned him the 2024-25 Golden Boot. After being presented with the award at a ceremony held in the Bernabéu's presidential box, the forward explained what winning this trophy meant to him: "I'm proud to compete for this badge, this club and these fans. I've been scoring goals my whole life, but scoring as a Real Madrid player is truly special. It means a lot and I want to keep it up to help the team win as much as possible.”

How would you describe your presentation at the Bernabéu?
“I would say ‘dream’. I dreamed of playing here since I was a child and it was the first time I played in front of the fans. It was incredible, crazy. I have to say thank you again for this day, it was the best possible start for a player. Starting a new chapter here and seeing all those people was incredible.”

Home debut with a brace against Betis
“We're talking about the start of a story, the real start, on the pitch. Scoring my first goal at the Bernabéu was like getting a real welcome. I'm grateful for all the love, but we play on the pitch and that's where you have to show what you can do. Scoring my first goal against Betis, in an important match, was a great moment.”

Wonder strike from outside the area against Sevilla
“It was a rocket. I controlled the ball well, I had time to look where the goalkeeper was and they didn't attack me. I knew I was going to shoot on this side. It's a goal that's a bit like my style.”

His first goal from a free kick
“It was against Leganés. It's something I'd worked on a lot with Llopis for many weeks. When I scored the goal, I wanted to share it with him, because there's work that people don't see. People who help us every day at Valdebebas. We do magic, but magic takes preparation. It was important to share it with the staff.”

A “team hat-trick” in Valladolid
“It was my first hat-trick for Real Madrid. It was an important away game and they were three different goals. I finished off the team's work. I scored them because my job is to score goals, but it was a team hat-trick.”

A brace on the last league matchday to win the Golden Boot
“For me, that wasn't my day. The Golden Boot was very good for me, but I was only thinking about thanking these players who have made history. It was the day these legends said goodbye.”

His photo with the Golden Boot
“It's the first time I've seen this photo. I really like it. It's a memory for life and I'm going to keep it."
