Vini Jr.: "I’m a very happy madridista because of the win, the goals, and the joy of the fans."
"When this time of the season comes, I always improve, I always score goals, and I provide assists," said the forward.
Vini Jr. delivered a magnificent derby performance, playing a key role by scoring two of the three goals in the victory against Atlético de Madrid at the Bernabéu. After the match, the forward spoke to Realmadrid TV: “I’m very happy with the match we played and how we controlled it from the start. We conceded a goal, but we are evolving and working hard for matches like these. I’m a very happy madridista today because of the victory, the goals, and the fact that the fans can enjoy it so much. It’s a derby, and Madrid always wins.”
The credit for the victory
“The credit goes to everyone: the coach, the players, the fans, and all the work we’ve done during the week. We’ve improved, we’ve won, we defended well, and we were very clear about our game plan from the start, which made all the difference.”
His current form
“I feel very happy because I’ve worked hard throughout the season for matches like these, and when this time of the season comes, I don’t know what happens to me—I always improve, I always score goals, I provide assists, and that’s what we players are here for. The president always tells me I have to score two goals, so I scored these two goals for him.”
The international break
“It’s a shame. The best thing would be to keep playing without stopping now because we’re on a very good run, but we’re going with the national team. Hopefully, everyone can return without injuries because the most important stretch of the season is coming.”
