Two goals from Vini Jr. and another from Valverde, who was unfairly sent off in the 77th minute, secured the three points for Madrid at the Bernabéu.
Real Madrid won the derby at the Bernabéu and achieved their fifth consecutive victory ahead of the international break. It was a match full of goals, where Madrid had to come back after Atlético led 0-1 at halftime thanks to Lookman's goal. Vini Jr., via a penalty, and Valverde put our team ahead right at the start of the second half, but Molina leveled the match in the 66th minute. The decisive 3-2 came six minutes later, courtesy of Vini Jr., who scored his second consecutive brace. In the 77th minute, Munuera Montero unfairly sent off Valverde with a straight red card, but our team showed great solidarity to maintain the lead with ten players for over 15 minutes.
The derby was lively and featured chances from the outset. Before the 10th minute, Real Madrid had two clear opportunities to score. The first came in the 3rd minute with a shot from Carvajal from the edge of the box, but Musso managed to deflect it with a dive. Five minutes later, Valverde made a self-pass against Hancko and, upon reaching the area, unleashed a cross-shot that hit the post. Atlético's response was immediate, with Marcos Llorente's shot being impressively saved by Lunin.

Our team continued attacking dangerously, and in the 14th minute, Carvajal delivered a ball to the edge of the box, where Arda Güler appeared to strike a beautiful volley, narrowly missing the target. Eight minutes later, the Turkish player took a corner, and Giuliano prevented the 1-0 on the goal line. From a possible 1-0, the match turned to 0-1 with Lookman's goal just past the half-hour mark. That score remained until halftime, despite the chance for an equalizer in the 42nd minute when Carvajal sent in another cross, and Tchouameni's header went just inches wide of the visitors' post.
Vini Jr. and Valverde complete the comeback in three minutes
The second half began in the best possible way. Brahim faced Hancko inside the box and was brought down by the defender. The resulting penalty was converted by Vini Jr. in the 52nd minute to level the match. Three minutes later, Arbeloa's men completed the comeback. Valverde chased down a loose ball inside the box against Giménez and, after winning it, finished with the outside of his right foot in a one-on-one with Musso.
Second consecutive brace for Vini Jr.
The minutes ticked by, and in the 66th minute, Atlético equalized with a spectacular goal from Molina. Six minutes later, Madrid reclaimed the lead with a stunning goal. Trent started the play from his own half, passed to Vini Jr., who controlled the ball near the edge of the box and struck a precision shot that Musso could do nothing about in the 72nd minute. It marked the Brazilian's second brace in two consecutive matches.
Five minutes later, Valverde was unjustly sent off for attempting to retrieve a ball from behind Baena. A yellow card would have sufficed, but Munuera Montero showed a red. Madrid had to play the derby with ten men for the final 15 minutes, and in the 81st minute, Julián Álvarez's shot from the edge of the box struck the post. This was the visitors' only clear chance until the end of the game. Our team's tremendous solidarity compensated for being a man down, securing the victory and keeping them in the fight for La Liga.
