Courtois: “We believed until the end”
“It was important and necessary to win here to be among the top eight in February,” emphasized the goalkeeper.
Thibaut Courtois once again delivered an outstanding performance for Real Madrid. Our goalkeeper, who made crucial saves in Athens, highlighted the team's ability to overcome any adversity: “I’m very happy because the team’s reaction after the 2-1 was very good. We tried to equalize, we did it, and we believed until the end. We have players with great quality and, in the end, a fantastic goal by Fede. I’m happy with the win; it was important and necessary to win here to be among the top eight in February.”
“Many players contributed, like Militão. The team is doing very well, and we must keep going. From the goals, I’d highlight Bellingham's backheel or Valverde's goal, which was spectacular. All three were beautiful goals scored at Valdebebas.”
His saves
“Happy with the saves. Both were difficult, reacting against the flow. I’m pleased to have helped the team early in the game. Now, on to Valencia.”
