Ceballos: “We finished with good feelings and three vital points”
“We haven’t been at it long, but we’re going to take on board the concepts the coach is asking of us,” added the midfielder.
Dani Ceballos played in our team’s 2-0 win over Levante in the LaLiga matchday 20 fixture. The midfielder gave his analysis on Realmadrid TV: “We knew it was going to be a difficult game against an opponent that defends very well in a low block. The team worked hard throughout the game. We started slowly but finished with a good feeling and three vital points for us.”
“We corrected the mistakes we made in the first half, especially in terms of intensity when winning duels and playing forward, which was essential for scoring goals. The first goal came from a penalty because we played forward, while the second came from a set piece. The team deserved a bigger win, but taking the three points was the most important thing today.”
The manager's instructions
“He asks us to press after losing the ball, which is what we've been lacking in recent games, to be aggressive, to go into the opposition's half to win the ball back, to play forward and to be dynamic. We haven't been together long, but we're going to take on board the concepts the manager wants and keep pushing for more.”
Role in the match
“The coach knows that I'm a hard-working player who likes to have the ball. Today he asked me to play as a pure central midfielder with Aurélien (Tchouameni) coming out of the area and playing more as a centre-back. I try to get the team playing, sacrifice myself, give my all, and that's what I did today.”
