Carvajal, Nacho and Joselu, double European champions
After winning La Decimoquinta with Real Madrid, they also clinched the Euros with Spain in the same season.
Carvajal, Nacho and Joselu have closed out a legendary season with victory at the 2024 European Championships. The three players won Europe's top prize with Real Madrid (La Decimoquinta) and the Spanish National Team, a double only previously managed by Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe, Anelka and Karembeu. The French stars achieved the feat in the year 2000, when they lifted La Octava, before winning the Euros in Belgium and the Netherlands. The Portuguese players repeated the double in 2016, winning La Undécima in Milan and the Euros at the Stade de France.
Carvajal has enjoyed what has been perhaps the greatest season of his career. The Real Madrid defender played six of Spain's seven games in the Euros, scoring in Spain's opener against Croatia. He also struck our team's first goal in the Champions League final, playing all 10 games en route to the showpiece. Nacho has played three games at these European Championships, and 12 of the 13 for Real Madrid in the Champions League. Joselu, meanwhile, played a key role in winning La Decimoquinta, netting a historic double against Bayern at the Bernabéu to book our place in the final. He has also been involved in two games a the Euros.
