Ancelotti will coach his 200th Champions League game against Manchester City
The first coach to reach this number in the competition, he is also the coach that has won the competition the most times (4) and the coach with the most victories (114).
Carlo Ancelotti is set to become the first coach to 200 Champions League games in the Real Madrid-Manchester City game. Nobody has managed to achieve this feat since the format was introduced in the 1992/93 season, taking into account only the final stages of the competition and not the qualification rounds.
The Italian coach's Champions League meetings are spread over 21 seasons and eight teams: Parma (6), Juventus (10), Milan (73), Chelsea (18), PSG (10), Bayern Munich (12), Napoli (12) and Real Madrid (59). Ancelotti is also the only coach to have won the competition four times (twice with Real Madrid and twice with Milan) and the coach with the most wins (114).
Ancelotti: "Reaching 200 Champions League games means a lot"
"It's a big achievement. I remember my first game, it was against Sparta Prague when I was at Parma. Reaching 200 games means a lot. Surviving so many years in football, especially at my age, is a success".
