Real Madrid vs. Celta: aiming for three points on the return to the Bernabéu
NEWS.Alberto Navarro

A month after their last home game, the thrilling victory against Valencia on 1 November, Real Madrid return to the Bernabéu tonight. They do so after winning on Wednesday at San Mamés in the brought-forward matchday 19 fixture and against a Celta side that has won its last three away games in the league (9 pm CET).

It will be the third-to-last match played this year at the Bernabéu, with only Manchester City's visit in the Champions League and Sevilla's visit in the league remaining to bring 2025 to a close. In this 15th round of LaLiga, Xabi Alonso's side will be looking to continue their spectacular home form, where they have won all eight games played (six in LaLiga and two in the Champions League).

"We want to continue the form we showed in Bilbao," said Xabi Alonso at the pre-match press conference. Our manager will not be able to call upon Trent, HuijsenCarvajalAlaba and Mendy for the 22-man squad. Mbappé, who has been involved in the team's last nine goals, will be available.

Our opponents
Celta Vigo come to our stadium having eliminated Sant Andreu in the Cup on penalties last Thursday and making it to the last 32 of the competition. In the League, before the start of matchday 15, they're 12th and tied on 16 points with the two teams above them. Their away record in the league shows that they're a tough team to beat. They have lost only one of the six games they have played and have won the last three. Their top scorer this season is Borja Iglesias, with eight goals (five in LaLiga, two in the Europa League and one in the Copa del Rey).
