Tonight at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Real Madrid are in a final for the third time this season, having already lifted the European Super Cup and becoming world champions for the ninth time. Today they will try to defend the Spanish Super Cup in the first Clasico of 2025 (8pm Spanish time, 10pm local time).
For the third consecutive year, Real Madrid and Barcelona will meet in the final of this competition. The Whites, who won the title in 2024 after a 4-1 victory with a hat-trick from Vini Jr. and another goal from Rodrygo, will be looking to lift the Spanish Super Cup for the 14th time in our club’s history.

“In these games, quality becomes more important than balance, individual moments outweigh the collective display,” said Ancelotti at the pre-match press conference. The Italian, who in December became the coach with the most titles in the history of our club, will attempt to add to his list of medals at Real Madrid. Bellingham’s excellent form will be key, having scored in both of the games he has played this year as well as being essential in the semifinal against Mallorca.
The rival
Barcelona reach the final after winning both of their matches in 2025. In the first, they beat Barbasto (0-4) in the Copa del Rey. In the second, they eliminated Athletic Club in the Supercopa semifinal thanks to goals from Gavi and Lamine Yamal (2-0).
