The first trophy of the season is up for grabs for Real Madrid as they contest the final of the Spanish Super Cup at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah (8pm Spanish time, 10pm local time). The second Clásico of the season will determine this edition, where Xabi Alonso's men will be aiming to add to the club's trophy cabinet with their 14th Spanish Super Cup.

To reach the final match, our team prevailed in the semifinals against Atlético (1-2) courtesy of Valverde’s stunning strike and another goal from Rodrygo. This will be the second time that Real Madrid and Barcelona have clashed this season after Madrid won 2-1 at the Bernabéu on matchday 10 in LaLiga.

“It's a special match and it'll be important from a football and emotional point of view,” said the Madrid coach in the press conference ahead of the clash. For the final, Xabi Alonso welcomes back Mbappé to his squad, whi missed the semi-final. Meanwhile, Carvajal said: “We have to play with plenty of motivation and character.”

Super Cup Clásico
This match is a real classic in the competition. It will be the fourth consecutive time that the two teams have met in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. Barcelona, the reigning champions, have reached the final after thumping Athletic Club 5-0 on Wednesday.
