Under the presidency of Santiago Bernabéu and with legendary players such as Di Stéfano, Gento, Puskas, Kopa, and Santamaría, Real Madrid won the first 5 European Cups consecutively between 1956 and 1960. On November 11, 2023, José Martínez Pirri was named honorary president of Real Madrid at the club's Extraordinary General Assembly, succeeding the iconic Amancio Amaro in the role.
