25 years ago, the sixth Spanish Super Cup was won
On August 22, 2001, Real Madrid defeated Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernabéu (3-0).
On August 22, 2001, Real Madrid lifted their sixth Spanish Super Cup. The opponent was Real Zaragoza, and in the first match at La Romareda, the team drew 1-1 thanks to a goal by Flavio Conceição. That match at the Aragonese stadium marked the official debut of Zidane with Real Madrid.
The return leg took place at the Santiago Bernabéu three days later, and in front of our fans, the team secured the title with a 3-0 victory. The standout player of the match was Raúl, who scored a hat-trick in the final stretch of the game.
