19 years since the inauguration of Real Madrid City
The world's best sports city was inaugurated on 30 September 2005.
It's been 19 years since Real Madrid City was inaugurated and is a cause of pride for all madridistas. On 30 September 2005, during the presidency of Florentino Pérez, it was officially opened and has been constantly evolving to maintain its status as the best training ground in the world. Carlo Ancelotti‘s squad works here on a daily basis and their training camps take place at the residence.
The basketball team has been fully integrated into Real Madrid City since 2016 thanks to the pavilion. It is where they train and where the youth basketball teams play and train. The women's team also trains and plays its home games at Real Madrid City. The facilities, which were started to be built on 12 May 2004 with the laying of the first stone, can also host other events such as Representative Members' Assemblies.
Real Madrid City is home to both the men's and women's youth football teams. Our youth teams' training sessions and matches are held here. A highlight is the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium, which honours the greatest player of all time and hosts Castilla, the women's first team and Under-19s matches in the UEFA Youth League.
Corporate office building
The corporate office building is another example of the growth of Real Madrid City. The move of all the club's workers and the Real Madrid Foundation to this building was completed in 2018, in which the highest architectural and functional quality has been pursued, taking into account the basic values of simplicity, transparency, sustainability and modernity.
Agronomic laboratory
Real Madrid City houses an agronomic laboratory to study, test and adjust the innovative automated system of the Santiago Bernabéu playing field. It consists of a 900 m² building, with an enclosure containing an artificial turf roof.
