Modrić, Rudy and Olga scoop prizes at the ‘La Galerna’ Awards
Vice-president Eduardo Fernández de Blas picked up the award on behalf of the Croatian ace at a ceremony that also saw Roberto Carlos, Brabender and Luyk take accolades.
Luka Modrić, Rudy Fernández and Olga Carmona all received prizes at the second edition of the La Galerna Awards, presented by the digital media outlet. The Croatian midfielder won the Forja de la Gloria Fútbol prize, which was collected on his behalf by Real Madrid's Vice-President, Eduardo Fernández de Blas. Rudy Fernández got his hands on the Forja de la Gloria Baloncesto award. Both these accolades acknowledge the careers of active players for each section of the club. Meanwhile, Olga Carmona was chosen for the Pioneers award for the female team.
The Paco Gento and Fernando Martín awards that are presented to football and basketball legends, went to Roberto Carlos, Wayne Brabender and Clifford Luyk. The list of prize winners at the La Galerna ceremony was completed by Carlos Sainz (Premio Madridistas), Juan Luis Arsuaga (Premio Antonio Escohotado) and Álvaro Urquijo (Premio Viento de Galerna).
