24 years since club's sixth Spanish Super Cup
On 22 August 2001, Real Madrid beat Real Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernabéu (3-0).
On 22 August 2001, Real Madrid claimed their sixth Spanish Super Cup. Real Zaragoza were the opponents and in the first match at La Romareda the team drew 1-1 courtesy of a goal from Flavio Conceição. That match at the Aragonese stadium was Zidane's official debut for Real Madrid.
The second leg took place at the Santiago Bernabéu three days later as the Whites clinched the trophy in front of our home fans with a 3-0 win. The star of the show was Raúl, who netted a hat-trick in the game.
