Twelfth anniversary of the second UEFA Super Cup
On August 12, 2014, Real Madrid claimed the title in Cardiff against Sevilla (2-0) in a match where Kroos made his debut.
Twelve years have passed since Real Madrid's second UEFA Super Cup. On August 12, 2014, after winning the Tenth a few months earlier, the team claimed another continental title in Cardiff (Wales), where they defeated Sevilla with a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo (2-0). The Portuguese forward was named MVP of the match. That game also marked the official debut of one of our great legends: Toni Kroos.
Real Madrid took the lead half an hour into the game, when Cristiano Ronaldo finished off a superb cross from Bale on the left wing. In the second half, the Portuguese forward sealed the match with a precise cross-shot. With this victory, the madridistas lifted this trophy again 12 years after their first UEFA Super Cup.
