Welcome event for the Bengals-Falcons game in the Community of Madrid

The pavilion of the Cecilio Rodríguez Gardens, in Retiro Park, hosted a welcome event for the NFL two days before the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Atlanta Falcons at the Santiago Bernabéu (Sunday, 3:30 pm CEST; Cuatro and Dazn).

Roberto Carlos, legend of Real Madrid, represented our club at the event, which was also attended by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid; Inma Sanz, deputy mayor of Madrid; Mariano de Paco Serrano, councilor for Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Community of Madrid; Sonia Cea, delegate councilor for Sports; Peter O’Reilly, executive vice president of the NFL; and representatives of both teams.

Inma Sanz was the first to speak: “The economic impact last year was estimated at over 70 million euros for the city, contributing to the great moment we are experiencing as a global city. These figures encouraged us to reach this agreement between the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid, Real Madrid, and the NFL to continue hosting more games in the coming years.”

Isabel Díaz Ayuso: "It is a great thrill to once again host an NFL game in the temple of football"
“For us, it is a great thrill to once again host this new NFL matchday and to do so in the temple of football, at the Bernabéu. We want to thank Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, for making this majestic stadium, one of the most important in the world, available to everyone.”

Peter O’Reilly: “We wanted to return for a second game in this iconic stadium”
“We came here last year, and it was a very special game; the first in history, in an iconic stadium, which set the bar very high and made it very easy to decide that we wanted to return for a second game. Enjoy this weekend in this wonderful city, and we will have a spectacular game on Sunday.”
